New Year’s Eve Make Up: Bold Pink Eyes

I love colors. Yes, I really do – but normally not so much in my face. But well, you know, there are exceptions. I mean, don’t we girls have exceptions for pretty much everything anyway? So this color-in-my-face-exception is basically for long nights out with girlfriends when the getting-ready-part is actually one of the most important parts of the actual night out. Meanwhile, in my mid-twenties, those nights got a little bit rarer indeed, but there’s one to which we will stick to forever: New Year’s Eve. So I didn’t want to withhold my bold eye make for the upcoming New Year’s eve. Who knows, maybe there’s someone else who likes to try something new for the new year.

As for the base of the make up look I used the lavera Tinted Moisturizing Cream 3 in 1 and the lavera Natural Concealer. Both products belong to the new lavera colour cosmetics products and contain the Q10 agent – just like the lavera Q10 care products do. Now what is Q10? Well, it is an active agent produced by the body and it serves our skin cells with energy which again supports their regeneration. But with increasing age our body produces less Q10 which is one reason for skin aging. So with products containing the agent, our skin remains young, glowing and firm. Also, we basically do our make up and care our skin at the same time – so, basically we save precious time too.

But now let’s continue with what actually makes the New Year’s Eve make up stick out: The eye area! First of all I use a brow pencil, because we all know brows are the frame of our face, and who would put a beautiful painting into an ugly frame? Ya see! Afterwards I start creating the bold pink eyes with three expressive lavera eyeshadows. The first one is super pink and builds the base, then I go for a dark burgundy color on the outter part of the eye lids and and the end a golden eyeshadow is applied in the middle of the lid as a highlight. To see how and where exactly I apple the colors, just check the step-by-step tutorial bellow. After the eyeshadows, I use an eyeliner – you don’t have too, it also looks great without but I’m just such an addict – and of course mascara!

Pink New Year’s Eve Make Up:
1.
I apply the foundation in dots and work it in with a sponge
2. The concealer I apple in stripes under my eyes and also work it in with the sponge
3. As the lavera bronzer is very pigmented, I only apple a tiny bit for contouring

4. My highlighter is a liquid one. I prefer to apply it with my hands by dabbing it on my cheekbones
5. I never go out without forming my eyebrows by using an eyebrow pencil
6. The very pink eyeshadow has to be applied on the in- and outside on the lid, not in the middle part
7. Now I go for a darker shade and apply it on the outside of my lids – drama baby!
8. In the middle, where we didn’t apply eyeshadow so far, we now add a shimmering, golden one
9. The eyeliner is definitely optinal, but as I ALWAYS wear a liner, it’s a must for me.
10. I apply the mascara on my upper and lower lashes (because drama, again!)
11. For a harmonious result, I like to dab some eyeshadow on my lips too
12. And we are Done! So easy, right?

Also!

Pink New Year’s Eve Make Up:
1.
12. Tada. Done!
